the first game owned by wii owners, is it good
Here it is, the game that could set new heights,or just travel into the "yeah....but" column
Presentation
There is one simple word for this catagory, simple. When you first boot this game up you will see 5 large tabs saying the games in this package, i think u know what they are so i wont name them. Also there are 2 small tabs located on the bottom right of your screen, wii fitness and training, but i will get into that later on in the review. For these reasons, i give it an 8 out of 10 for being simple pick up and play style menu
Sound
I am shocked at this one, and i am a bit disappointed, let me explain. First off, i know this isnt the big feature in this game but this game features, quite possibly, the worst menu music of all time, but who cares about the menu music. The shining beacon of the sound department is the wii-mote speaker, yes that less than stellar wlkie talkie speaker is used to near perfection in this game, tennis is in a league of its own, baseball good, bowling is amazing, golf is awright and boxing falls under the catagory "yeah......but". Bad menu music plus great wii-mote speaker sounds equal a 7.5 out of 10
Graphics
This is probably the thing nintendo put no effort into, yet it is catered toward what the game really is, a simple pick up and play game. There really is nothing to talk about in this catagory, execpt it would have been nice to use the miis bodys instead of prerendered bodys. I know this is unfair but for how truly simple the graphics are, it gets a 6 out of 10
Gameplay
The true part of the game is the gamplay and now i can fully review all the games with brutally honest reviews
Tennis
Byfar the best tennis game out there and its sorta a minigame towards a bigger game so nice jobon the part. You may ask y tennis is so good at this, the wii-mote my good friend, so great, it just feels like tennis and the training mode is also pretty dam good as well 9.5 out of 10
Bowling
The best bowling game i have ever played (i have never played bowling in a game) but the game is almost better than tennis so ya, again bowling has its killer thing and that is the wii-mote (no brainer) but the training mode lacks 8.5 out of 10
Baseball
Ok, have reviewed this once before and if i do it again i will repeat myself, so i guess i have to.
As i said before the batting is great and the pitching is good, but i still dont like how many errors the fielders make, but dont worry, the training makes up for it with homerun derby 8 out of 10
Golf
Perhaps the most confusing game on this list with a learning curve of a minute and a bit, this time tho i learned to swing properly and i am not having the same problems i had with the earlier version of the kind of review, i guess the training mode is good too, 7.5 out of 10
Boxing
GFD (god f*** dammit) i do not like this game, it is way to broken to meet the standerds of all the other games on the list, the controls just do not work for me and they havent for awile, the training mode is bad because it is broken, 4 out of 10 get out of here
gamplay = 8.5
